Sandra Brammeier, Your Ocean Quest Dive team

Team Ocean Quest Scuba
Sandra Brammeier: USCG Capt./MSDT Padi Inst./Biologist
The heart of “ocean quest” is Sandy. Growing up in
Colorado near the beautiful Rocky Mountains, she had
never seen the ocean until her freshman in college. Once
she did everything changed as the ocean seemed to reach in
and touch her soul. After college she spent several years in
the US Coast Guard, and was even stationed right here in
Palm Beach on “Peanut Island”. Sandy returned back to
Florida in 2000 with a “quest” to spend her time doing
what she really loves, teaching scuba and getting as much
bottom time as possible in this wonderful underwater
world.

Sandy has become one of Padi’s busiest and popular dive instructors in Florida. With the
addition of “Sandy’s Sunday” our own customized dive boat in 2005 she now looks forward
to spending her days teaching and diving off of her own boat. Sandy is also a 9 year Breast
cancer survivor, and tributes her strength and ability to fight this disease to her family and
friends that are always there with their love and support. Sandy is an avid big game hunter,
enjoys softball and is hooked on watching survivor and the amazing race. (The only two
time frames during the week she isn’t willing to teach) Sandy hopes to build a training
center in the Palm Beach area in the near future, to push the range of Ocean Quest’s scuba
instruction to the top! You’ll find Sandy on the boat just about everyday, unless she is
teaching in the pool. Sandy has a very close family, and just adores her nieces Chelsea and
Danielle, and nephews Dustin, Colten and Jackson. Sandy’s main goal is to stay cancer free
long enough to teach all of them to dive. (Colten is only eight but already looks forward to
“swimming with the fishies”
Vicki Shaffer: Operations Manager/Dive Master
Sandy with niece Chelsea and nephews
Dustin and Colten. All three kids are like
"fish" and enjoy spending time each summer
on the "Sunday".
Vicki is the “glue” that keeps our schedule together. From
taking bookings, filling tanks, assisting students, scheduling,
taking care of feeding the crew, working as deck hand, being
the “go-for” and basically keeping Sandy from going crazy, it
was a simple decision to make Vicki the ops manager. You will
most likely talk to Vicki when you call in to make your
reservations, and she will be happy to help you with any
questions. You'll also find Vicki on the boat as your dive guide.
When not guiding Vicki likes to spearfish and lobster with Matt
and Sandy. Away from the boat Vicki enjoys playing softball,
fishing with her mom, and at her nephew Koby's baseball games.
You'll see nephew Hunter on the boat on weekends, he is a
great little helper. Vicki is also a avid big game hunter and even
spends an extra two - three weeks in Colorado each September
for archery season. She also hunts archery Turkey in Nebraska

each spring. Vicki has become as good of a shot with her bow as she is with her rifle.
Vicki taking a break from hunting to
say hello to a Loggerhead Turtle.
Mollie Carroll: Asst. Ops Manger/Dive Master
Mollie and Sandy have been friends for over 20 years
and is considered a part of the family. Mollie helps
run things when Sandy is out of town. Mollie is also
on the boat as dive master and assists us in our large
classes of students. Mollie enjoys spending time with
her two kids, Taylor and Colton. Both of the kids are
great little divers and enjoy lobster hunting with
mom. Colton is the little boy shown looking over
the side of the boat in all of our ads. Mollie is one of
the few people that can get away with shoving Sandy
off the boat. After all these years Mollie knows that
Sandy's bark is much worse then the bite!
Ryan Bell: Dive Master/Hunting Guide
Ryan is one of our part time dive masters and we love
him. Ryan is a structural engineer with a formal
commercial diver training as well. Ryan enjoys
spearfishing and guiding trips. Ryan spends alot of time
overseas working for his company Stanley Consultants,
but enjoys being on the boat on weekends when he is
home. Ryan's most recent trips has included Africa,
Saudia Arabia and Iraq...so he gets to see alot of cool
places as a engineer. Ryan is very a positive person on
the boat and you'll enjoy diving with him. Girls this
one is single!!
Todd Brooks: Padi Instructor
Todd is one of our part time instructors. He helps
us out with classes and on the boat from time to
time. Todd is from Kansas but moved here years ago
to be closer to great diving. Todd has three kids that
all take turns being here during the summer. They
are turning into some great little divers. Todd
enjoys spearfishing, lobstering and taking photo's
too. Todd takes great care with his students and
they enjoy diving with him.

John Krayeski Padi Dive Master
John is one of Sandy's best diving buddies, she
taught him to dive years ago. John enjoys lobster
hunting and guiding divers. We ask him to help
us out when we've got crew sick or out of town.
John also helps us when we have special projects
like a spearfishing documentary being filmed on
the boat. John had two little ones and we look
forward to getting them on the boat. John is a
great guy and he even brings "twizzlers" each trip
to share with the other divers! (a inside joke, but
they are yummy)
John Peckham Padi Dive Master
John is one of our part time, seasonal dive masters.
John is a fire fighter, paramedic in NY but makes it
down several times a year. We enjoy having him
working on the boat and guiding our divers. John
loves showing divers around the reefs that he loves.
John is another Ocean Quest dive master graduate
that has just become one of the family. We are
proud of John and the service that he provides in his
daily life! Him and his wife MaryAnn are often on
the yearly group trip in September, you'll enjoy
meeting them both.

Lu Dawson Padi Dive Master
Lu is another one of Sandy's students that has just
become a long standing member of the team.
You'll find Lu on the boat helping out as deck
hand and dive master. Lu also helps us out with
some of our marketing. Lu is the only Ocean
Quest crew member that isn't just crazy for
sharks..but she'll still take you to shark canyon if
that is where you'd like to go. Lu enjoys
underwater photography and is also on most of
our group trips.
